The Department of Philosophy at SIUC offers a major and a minor in philosophy, as well as a pre-law specialization. The Department is a pluralistic one with undergraduate courses in a variety of traditions. Philosophy major Angie Jachim won Honorable Mention for the presentation of her senior thesis project--"The Moral and Political Temperature of Contemporary Political Culture"--at the St. Louis Area Undergraduate Research Symposium held at SIUE April 27, 2013..

Steven Miller, Doctoral Student

 


Steven and faculty mentor Douglas Anderson recently received a $700 grant from the Society for the Advancement of American Philosophy (SAAP). The grant will be used for manuscript preparation of an untitled collection of the late Peter Hare's work. Steven also has an article in the upcoming edition of The Pluralist.
